Spirit Airlines Cancels Thousands of Flights, FAA Deals with Unruly Passengers

Spirit Airlines is saying the recent issues it has been having is not their proudest moment.
BNC correspondent Lauren McCoy has the latest details on the flight cancellations on “Start Your Day” with guest hosts Bofta Yimam and Shannon LaNier. Spirit Airlines has cancelled nearly 2,000 flights this week, including more than 250 on Friday. Ted Christie, Spirit’s CEO, is blaming bad weather, system outages and staffing issues for the cancellations, and more flights are expected to be impacted throughout the weekend. In other news, the FAA wants to crackdown on alcohol sales at airport restaurants and bars after an increase of unruly passengers.
