FBI Fires Lead Agent Who Didn’t Investigate Sexual Assault Allegations

Simone Biles and several other Olympic gymnasts testified before a United States Senate Committee about the FBI’s botched handling of the Larry Nassar sexual abuse case.

FBI Director Christopher Wray also testified before the committee and apologized for the bureau’s gross handling of the case. He said one of the agents responsible, Michael Langeman, was fired two weeks ago.

Tinnetta Thompson, a lawyer with the Office of Police Accountability and former San Francisco assistant district attorney, joins Yodit Tewolde on “Making the Case” to talk about this case.
