Father Fights For Son To Play Football After Seemingly Unfair Investigation Deems Student Athlete Ineligible

Washington D.C. is in an uproar as alumni and supporters of Eastern High School’s football program are not happy with the D.C. Public Schools (DCPS) athletic department’s investigation of a student.

Shaun Powell Jr., a junior at the high school, had hopes of being a quarterback for the Eastern Ramblers. But his dreams were shut down by an investigation that determined his eligibility is invalid.
