Sigma Gamma Rho’s International Grand Basileus Named New Chair of the NPHC’s Council of Presidents

The International Grand Basileus of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc, Rasheeda S. Liberty, has been named Chair of the Council of Presidents for the National Pan-Hellenic Council.

The announcement was made on Friday through both NPHC and Sigma Gamma Rho’s social media channels.

“We are pleased to announce that International Grand Basileus Rasheeda S. Liberty has been named Chair of the Council of Presidents for the National Pan-Hellenic Council,” the sorority stated.

“I am excited to lead the council which represents over 2.5 million members and has an exponential reach in the US and globally. This is indeed a pivotal time for the NPHC as we continue our work around voting rights, health equity and economic impact for the communities we serve,” Liberty stated.

Alongside her work as the International Grand Basileus of Sigma Gamma Rho, Rasheeda S. Liberty serves as a regional finance director for Amazon. According to the SGRho website, she is a recognized corporate leader with over 28 years of experience working for Fortune 100 companies.

Liberty is also a member of numerous organizations including Jack & Jill of America, Top Ladies of Distinction, NAACP, Finance Executive Networking Group (FENG), and Jack & Jill of America.
