Fans Literally Risked It All At TwitchCon’s Mayhem-Filled In-Person Return

This year’s TwitchCon possibly left some attendees with nightmares rather than memories. The convention, tagged as “the ultimate squad up,” is the annual gathering event for the live-streaming platform, Twitch.

Like most in-person conventions, TwtichCon took a break in 2020 and 2021. But they returned this past weekend at the San Diego Convention Center, promoting this year’s meet-up as the biggest one yet. Blavity previously reported that they announced Megan Thee Stallionas their headliner for an all-female lineup concert at this year’s party.

Fans and streamers were excited to resume face-to-face interaction after two years, but some instances proved that the virtual world might be safer.
