Dr. Cornel West Criticizes Pres. Obama for His Handling of Police Killings of Black Men

Charles Blow sits down with author and philosopher Dr. Cornel West to talk about criticisms toward President Barack Obama on his handling of Black people killed by the police.

During a My Brother’s Keeper Leadership Forum, Obama said that he faced “institutional constraints.”

West criticizes Obama saying, “There’s no doubt that every politician has structural constraints,” West says. “But there’s a variety of different ways where you have the wheel to raise your voice and push for policies, even if you’re unable to execute those policies.”
