Marc Lamont Hill, Educator William Reusch Debate Critical Race Theory

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers vetoed a bill proposing to ban the teaching of critical race theory concepts in schools.

Assembly Bill 411 would have forced the schools to change how educators discuss race, discrimination, and other classroom injustices.
Evers said the proposal that passed the state Senate 20-13 was a form of censorship, restricting schools from teaching quote, “Honest, complete facts about important historical topics like the Civil War and civil rights.”

High school social studies teacher William Reusch joins Marc Lamont Hill on “Black News Tonight” to share his take on critical race theory.

All this and more on “Black News Tonight.”
