This year’s Olympic games are not without controversy, as Russian Olympic skater Kamila Valieva can stay in the competition after testing positive on a drug test. The news has highlighted a double standard, called out by U.S. sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson, who wasn’t allowed to compete in last year’s Beijing Olympics after testing positive for THC.
