Did you know that Elizabeth Catlett was a member of Delta Sigma Theta? Catlett pledged the Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Elizabeth Catlett was an African American sculptor and graphic artist known for her 20th-century depictions of the African American female experience. She was born in Washington, D.C. in 1915. She is most known for her sculpting and print work.

She has won many awards including first prize at the 1940 American Negro Expo, the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Iowa in 1996, and an NAACP Image Award among others.
