Ari Lennox Expressed Her Frustrations With Stardom After She Was Asked About Her Sex Life During Interview

Ari Lennox went to social media on Sunday to announce that she wants to be “dropped from the labels.”

“I’m done and tired,” the singer tweeted.

Lennox, who is currently signed to Interscope and Dreamville, made her latest statement after sitting down for a bizarre interview with a South African podcaster, Complex reports. The artist felt disrespected after she was asked about her sex life during the interview.

Mac G, host of Podcast and Chill, raised the controversial question when he pulled a line from Lennox’s song, “Pop.”

“Is someone f**king you good right now?” the host asked, according to Uproxx.

The Shea Butter Baby singer later expressed her outrage in a series of deleted tweets, Vibe reports.

“I’m just like… why was I alone on a call full of people? Why didn’t anyone intervene? And why wasn’t parts of the interview destroyed like the team promised? Why did it happen to begin with?” she said. “I just feel slow and ambushed and blindsighted. Just because I happily and freely sing/write about sex don’t make any kind of creepy disrespect warranted. I clearly was in immense shock and hate that I didn’t react differently.”
