Remembering the Life and Legacy of bell hooks

Many around the world are in mourning this evening after the passing of bell hooks.

The acclaimed author, cultural critic, poet and feminist died earlier today at her home in Berea, Kentucky, at the age of 69.

A trailblazing scholar and activist, hooks influenced generations with a voice that was always fresh and bravely honest as she wrote more than 40 books.

In her work, she addressed the subjects of race, gender and class with passion and intellectual boldness and will be profoundly missed.

Dr. Cornel West, Kiese Laymon and Dr. Brittney Cooper join Marc Lamont Hill on “Black News Tonight” to remember the life and legacy of bell hooks.
