The HBCU Xperience
is a staple in Atlanta, Georgia. As we know, networking is an integral part of leveling up in our society and during The HBCU Xperience, the HBCU Leadership Summit sought to bring young Black students the best information that can help equip them with the skills and mentality to realize and accomplish their goals.

This year’s event was held on Dec. 16-18 at Southern Exchange Ballrooms and featured a conversation held between the students and famous rapper/serial entrepreneur, Master P. Master P, real name Percy Miller, shared his insights on how to reach your goals and stay focused. He told funny childhood stories with deep meanings attached to them. One quote that stuck with many people was, “Either you can stay on the ground with the pigeons or fly with the eagles,” meaning to take note of the company you keep so you can grow.

The HBCU Xperience also hosted a pitch contest that allowed students to compete for funding for their organization or business. It was a well put together event and Master P was more than gracious with his sharing of knowledge. He certainly set a high bar for other keynote speakers to follow. Check out some of the photos of the HBCU Leadership Summit at The HBCU Xperience below!
