Olympian Long Jumper Flora Hyacinth Is A Member Of Zeta Phi Beta

Did you know that track and field icon Flora Hyacinth is a member of Zeta Phi Beta? Flora pledged the Iota Eta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Flora Hyacinth is a retired track and field athlete who competed in the long jump and triple jump. She was born in the United States Virgin Islands and attended college at the University of Alabama. She competed on the Crimson Tide Track and Field Team in the triple jump and hurdles. She broke a world record in the triple jump but was denied her recognition due to the measuring tools that were at the event.

Hyacinth placed 1st in the 1986 Central American and Caribbean Games in the 400m hurdles. She also Central American and Caribbean Games in Maracaibo, Venezuela.
