The Top 15 HBCU Nursing Schools Ranked For 2022

Historically Black colleges and universities play a crucial role in the lives of their students’ futures. That’s why TopRNtoBSN (Top RN to BSN), an online information source for current and prospective nursing students, ranked the Top 15 HBCU Nursing Schools for 2022. Students interested in nursing programs and enrolling into an HBCU now have a list they can look to for guidance. According to TopRNtoBSN, “HBCU nursing programs were the only places where black nurses could train before the 1960s.” The programs were ranked based on reputation, tuition cost, and graduate salary. TopRNtoBSN applied data from IPEDS, College Scorecard, and Niche to generate the ranking for the 2022 list.

The Top 3 HBCU Nursing Schools are:

1. Howard University – Washington, DC
2. North Carolina A&T State University – Greensboro, NC
3. Florida A&M University – Tallahassee, FL
