Multiple Airlines Dealing with Consecutive Flight Delays, Cancellations

Two major airlines are reporting consecutive delays.
Spirit Airlines canceled 60% of Wednesday’s scheduled flights due to what they call “operational issues,” and American Airlines also experienced widespread flight delays and cancellations earlier this week. BNC correspondent Astrid Martinez is in Philadelphia and joins “Start Your Day” with guest hosts Bofta Yimam and Shannon LaNier with the latest on the delays and when customers can expect some relief. According to FlightAware, Spirit reported delays of more than 200 flights and more than 340 flight cancellations, leaving hundreds of passengers around the country stranded and struggling to rebook or get a refund.
