Song ‘Dishtagina’ Uniting Africans, Akon’s Wife Rozina Negusei Explains

There are people who say that music is the universal language.

There is a song that has been proving just that and it’s uniting people across Africa and the entire Black diaspora. The unstoppable track is called “Dishtagina” and the remix features Senegalese American legend Akon, alongside Ethiopian artist Tariku Gankisi.

Akon’s wife, Rozina Negusei, founder of Zanar Entertainment and Entreeg Records, and Gankisi, who is joined with his interpreter Natnael Tewodros, joined Marc Lamont Hill on “Black News Tonight” to discuss the song.
