Seve Day, the brother of Jelani Day, joins Laverne McGee on “BNC Live” as police continue to investigate whether or not the death of the 25-year-old graduate student will become a homicide case.
“He was always happy, he was always happy to meet new people, always willing and ready to just have fun any time he could,” Seve said of his brother. “Just a vibrant spirit, a vibrant soul. None of this makes sense [and] it’s definitely a homicide.” He says police didn’t do enough in the days immediately following his brother’s disappearance. Seve added that Jelani wouldn’t allow stress from school to cause him to run away and they were taught to fight their battles head on, further confirming the theory his brother was murdered.
