‘All the Queen’s Men’ Creator Christian Keyes

Christian Keyes, the creator of “All the Queen’s Men”, joins “Start Your Day” to talk about the new season of the show.

Based on Keyes’ book “Ladies Night”, the creator talks about how he was able to keep the show authentic to the story told in the book. Keyes says during the pandemic, he spent six or eight months writing and rewriting the first few episodes. Also, the development team at Tyler Perry Studios would give Keyes specific notes. Although it was a bit tedious, the process is what helped cultivate the stories.

Keyes wrote the entire season of the show, which proved to be a tough task but it was done. Keyes hopes that this will inspire more Black talent in the future to write a show or book.

All this and more on “Start Your Day.”
