Social media influencer Mercedes Morr was found dead in her apartment after police were called to do a welfare check on the 33-year-old.
Morr, who was born Jenae Gagnier, was pronounced dead on the scene at her Richmond, Texas, apartment on Sunday in what police are calling a murder-suicide, E News reported.
When police arrived, they found the body of Gagnier and 34-year-old Kevin Alexander Accorto, who police have described as a suspect. Authorities said they don’t believe the two were in a relationship and that an investigation is being conducted to determine the motive.
“At this point in the investigation, it is NOT believed that there was a relationship between the suspect and the victim,” the department said in a statement Monday, NBC News reported.

According to E News, the social media model died by strangulation and traumatic concussion, and Accorto’s death was ruled a suicide by multiple sharp force trauma.
The Texas native’s followers on social media have flooded her Instagram account in disbelief. Bow Wow was one of the people who commented under one of her pictures, saying, “Stop playing we just spoke on thurs.”
“Don’t do me like this yo! Naaa,” the rapper wrote.
The model’s neighbors said the incident has left them disturbed and unsure of the community’s safety.
”What I thought was safe it seems is not,” Roderick Shaw told NBC affiliate KPRC of Houston. “We have so many rules and so many guidelines I would never expect someone to breach our security and someone be murdered on this property.”
