New Jersey Man Charged After Racist Verbal Attack on His Neighbors

BNC’s Brittany Jones and Shannon Lanier report on the New Jersey man, Edward Cagney Mathews, who was charged after going on a racist verbal assault on an interracial couple outside of their home.

Lanier speaks to Benita Farmer, a neighbor who confronted Mathews after the racist incident. Farmer and other neighbors defended the couple, with many protesting in front of Mathew’s home.

Mathews said that nothing could justify his actions, but has asked the community to let him move forward.
