Sister of Tupac Shakur Vows to Honor His Mission Through the Family’s Foundation

The sister of legendary music icon, Tupac Shakur, joins BNC’s “Start Your Day” to discuss how the family plans to continue his work on the eve what would have been his 51st birthday.

Sekyiwa Shakur, who serves as the President of the Tupac Amura Shakur Foundation, says the family will honor his life and further his mission, which was to help his people.

“So, our mission today is to identify and irradicate the effects of trauma in our community,” Shakur stated of the foundation’s work.

Shakur also has an emotional account of how her brother and mother left a legacy of fighting for more than just civil rights, but for human rights across the board.
