New Orleans Bounce Pioneer DJ Jubilee Is A Member Of Kappa Alpha Psi!

Did you know that one of the early adopters of New Orleans bounce music Dj Jubilee is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi?

This is the truth! DJ Jubilee crossed through the Gamma Psi chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. DJ Jubilee is an African-American DJ and rapper from the 10th ward of New Orleans. He is responsible for many regional bounce classics like Get Ready, Ready! (1997). Many of his songs inspired larger hits that changed music as we know it!

In 1993, DJ Jubilee released his first single on cassette. The song was called “Do The Jubilee All”. The single sold more than 30,000 copies between Louisiana and Texas. After joining the New Orleans powerhouse label Take Fo Records, he took off and became a legend in New Orleans.
