5 Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu Quotes That Still Resonate Today

Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu is has been an educational consultant, author, mentor, and lecturer.  Kunjufu is the author of more than three dozen books including Countering the Conspiracy to Destroy Black Boys, Vol. 1 and Motivating Black Youth to Work; Children Are the Reward of Life; Lessons from History; A Celebration in Blackness; Elementary & High School; To Be Popular or Smart: The Black Peer Group; Adam Where Are You?; Satan, I’m Taking Back My Health; and State of Emergency.

Kunjufu received his Bachelor’s degree in 1974 from Illinois State University, majoring in Economics and Business Administration. Between 1974-1980 Kunjufu taught in an Africentric school. The scholar would go on to earn his doctorate from Union Graduate School in 1984. Here are five quotes from Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu that still resonate today.
