Gucci Mane is reportedly heading to the big screen thanks to his previously-released book, The Autobiography of Gucci Mane.

Paramount Pictures and Imagine Entertainment have acquired the rights to the Atlanta rapper’s story, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Imagine’s producers were behind 8 Mile and television series Empire.

The Autobiography of Gucci Mane details the rise and challenges Gucci’s faced since stepping into the industry decades ago. That memoir was written mainly during a lengthy prison sentence he had between 2014 and 2016.

Gucci Mane has revealed that Harmony Korine encouraged him to write and work on a screenplay after she cast him in the film Spring Breakers. It’s still unclear as to who will be turning Guwop’s story into a script, however Gucci himself has lobbied to head the behind-the-scenes writing.

The book is lit if you haven’t read it yet, so we’re all here for a movie depiction. Congrats to the East Atlanta Santa.
